If you are interested in commissioning a portrait, please email me at shellyhivemind (at) gmail.com or call at (206) 226-3586.  We will first discuss clothing, pose, and your expectations about the portrait. You may then either send me digital images, or if possible we will arrange a session during which I will take a series of digital photos in your outfit of choice.  My work can range in style from traditional to more modern. Please see portfolio for range of styles.

While I am completing the portrait, I wiill email you digital images for feedback. Following final approval, arrangements are made for delivery of the completed portrait.

Commissions take about one month from start to finish.

Pricing depends on size of image, number of persons in image, transportation, and framing.  A 1.5ft x 2ft unframed image with one person will cost about $1500.  A 4ft x 6ft unframed image with one person will cost about $2500.  To secure your commission expect to pay 1/3rd of the price in advance, and then provide 2/3rd at time of completion upon your approval of final image.
